Ghoust hunt
Ghost Hunt follows the adventures of Kazuya Shibuya, the president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Center (SPR) and Mai Taniyama, a first year high school student. The story begins during an exchange of ghost stories between Mai and her friends, who are interrupted twice: first by a mysterious "male student" and then by a fellow classmate, who warns them of how their ghost stories attract spirits.
While out walking, Mai sees the building that all the ghost stories surround and decides to go in. As she is about to touch a camera in the middle of the room, a man stops her and ends up injuring himself. Mai is then forced to work as a stand-in assistant for the man, an employee of the "male student," who was hired to study the "paranormal" events occurring at the school. Mai nicknames this "student" "Naru" for his narcissistic attitude. Naru owns a paranormal investigation company SPR and Mai eventually earns a part-time job at SPR after assisting with the first case. The more involved Mai becomes with Naru, the more she learns about herself and her feelings towards him.

Kazuya Shibuya
Shibuya Kazuya is the 17 year old president of SPR. He is sharp and extremely intelligent, but very much a narcissist...so he has been nicknamed "Naru" (Short for narcissist). He acts cold and bossy around the others but the truth is he cares a lot about them.It is later revealed that he has psychic powers far superior than any human should have.
Mai Taniyama
Taniyama Mai is a lively 16 year-old student who works part time at SPR.She is an orphan, who was taken in by a kind teacher. She's enthusiastic, although Naru always gives her a hard time. She has weird dreams whenever they have a case to solve and they always end up as clues. She is secretly in love with Naru.
Koujo Lin
lin is Naru's Assistant and is often checking and monitoring videos. He was injured since Mai caused a little ruckus. He's often silent and hard to approach but he cares a lot for Naru but just has a hard time showing his emotions. He is originally from China.
Takigawa Hosho
He's a monk from Kouya mountain who works part time in a band as their bass player. He sometimes acts as Mai's big brother even though they're not related. Just like John, Masako, and Ayako, he's just being hired for exorcisms.
John Brown
He's a priest and an exorcist from Australia. He's not really part of SPR but just like the others, Naru hires him for exorcisms. He may not look like it but he's in fact 19 years old.
Hara Masako
She's a well known exorcist in the psychic industry. She even appears in television and is the same age as Mai. She's always helping Naru and the others in their assignments but the truth is she just wants to be close to Naru. She sometimes acts selfish and stubborn but she's a really caring girl.
Ayako Matsuzaki
An outspoken self-styled Shinto miko priestess, given that she was not raised in a shrine and is actually the daughter of a wealthy doctor who owns a community hospital. To her credit, she did teach Mai some defensive sutras, particularly the standard Shinto exorcism incantation. It is later revealed that she is actually just as strong as Bou, but apparently only works well under certain conditions.
